The Model 885 uses a rugged curtain constructed from five layers of NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber) and four layers of polyester weave. This multilayer construction provides strength without adding unnecessary weight and resists petrochemicals, making the door suitable for harsh industrial environments.
The door can withstand wind pressure of up to 27.0 psf, with the published wind-load rating based on testing at a 19-foot door width.
