Insulated Sectional Steel Doors, Thermospan® Series
Wayne Dalton Thermospan® Series insulated sectional steel doors are engineered for commercial and industrial facilities where energy efficiency, durability, strength, and dependable performance are essential. The series combines galvanized steel construction with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation and patented integral steel struts for increased rigidity.
Thermospan® Series Model Options
The Thermospan® Series includes four models designed for different opening sizes and performance requirements:
Thermospan® 125 is designed for smaller commercial openings while providing an R-value of 10.79. Its 7/8-inch sections offer a practical combination of insulation, strength, and value for commercial facilities.
Thermospan® 150 increases insulation to an R-value of 14.16 with 1-1/2-inch-thick sections. With a maximum size of approximately 26’2″ × 20’1″, it provides a versatile solution for warehouses, service buildings, and other commercial applications.
Thermospan® 200 is the largest Thermospan option. Its 2-inch-thick sections provide an R-value of 17.5, while its maximum size of approximately 40’2″ wide × 32’1″ high makes it suitable for very large industrial and commercial openings.
Thermospan® 200-20 provides the same 2-inch section thickness and R-value of 17.5 as the Model 200 but is designed for smaller openings up to approximately 24’2″ wide × 16’1″ high. Its 20-gauge steel construction provides a durable commercial exterior

Thermal Performance
- Thermal break separates inner and outer skins at the top and bottom, so virtually no heat or cold is conducted through the section
- The CFC- and HCFC-free polyurethane insulation core with the standard joint seal aids in preventing air infiltration and can help reduce energy costs
- A flexible vinyl bulb seal and non-corrosive polymer retainer can help prevent water and air infiltration at the bottom of the door
